Feel Dead Brains
Posted by: Milena Krstic
 Thursday, March 12th 2009

The Cognitive Science Students Association is pleased to be hosting the popular event, Feel Dead Brains! It will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 from 7:00pm - 10:00pm in 5101 Tolman Hall.

There will be a neuroanatomy talk by Bradley Voytek, an expert on the things that can go wrong during development and later life, and he is excited to come and share his knowledge with us. Then, the talk is followed by a chance for all of you to come up close and personal with the grey matter in everyone's heads. The brain is the most complex structure known anywhere, and to be able to study it closer is a real treat. So come, join the CSSA in this one-of-a-kind event!

Hope to see you all there!

What is Cognitive Science?
Cognitive Science is an emerging interdisciplinary field that brings together portions of Psychology, Computer Science (AI), Neuroscience, Linguistics, Education and many others. Essentially, its goal lies in understanding the brain, how it works, and how we might make better make use of it. For a more in-depth description, visit the UCB Cognitive Science web site.

What is the CSSA?
We are a tight-knit group of students interested in the current issues of Cognitive Science. Our meetings take place on the first and third Wednesday of every month. Meetings are typically an open discussion forum with focus on a particular topic of interest. Anyone is welcome to attend and participate - if nothing else, it's a great way to meet new friends.

How do I become involved?
To start, add yourself to our main mailing list now by entering your e-mail address above, or click here for additional options and instructions.
